Rules of the IRC
The IRC is a real time chatroom where you can chat and discuss things with other developers. This place is meant to be a safe work environment where everyone is welcome to take part in discussions regardless of skill level.
Like many other IRC channels we have a list of our own rules and policies that we would like to be followed in the chat. Action will be taken against those breaking these rules. The severity of the consequence can range from a reminder to a permban.
1. You are allowed to share media with others in the chat however it is expected that said media does not contain any profanity.
2. You are allowed to ping any member in the chat as long as they have a +v or a @ by there name. These people are there to help you and will gladly respond if they are not busy.
3. If you don't get help with your problem right away remember that we are only human and can be occupied at times. If you stick around long enough someone is bound to help you out.
4. Remember that this is a safe environment for people of all skill levels. It is expected that beginners respect others that are trying to help them and it is expected and the more experienced members are tolerant of the beginners. For the system to work it requires everyone to get along. You don't need to be nice to everyone however there is no need to be a dick to anyone either.
5. Our channel does not tolerate those who impersonate other members of the community. If you join the channel pretending to be someone else there will be consequences.
6. Be respectful. There are many things you can do that others don't like such as saying rude things or spamming the chat.
